Hi, could anyone help,I was asked today to look at a problem with a worcester 350,had a quick look on my way home,I'm not a maintenance or boiler breakdown engineer,so not too clued up on fault finding.Anyway it's the one with two pumps,so no diverter. When they open a tap the burner fires, the water gets hot,but the heating flow get hot aswell and then the heating return,it does'nt circulate through the external pipework, must be through the boiler bypass, anyone know the fault with this, bypass or non-return valve or both pumps coming on,which i did'nt check, just wanted to get home, long day.
Thanks for any help PS Water gets hot but then cools

The pump housings have non return valves in them, will be most likely the DHW one.

Thanks bigads, bumped into a worcester engineer today,he said you could try flushing incase it's sludge in the non-returns,but best bet fit new boiler, cos they don't bother carrying spares for that boiler anymore,it looked in good condition though.I don't have the time to order, then pick-up, then swap a part unless i'm certain it's deffo that part that is at fault, too busy installing,I just thought it may of been fault that was well known about. The Worcester bloke said it's at the back of the pumps,is it a ballache to get at ?

A few parts for the boiler are obsolete now so recommend a new boiler.

You need to remove the pumps to get into them properly for flushing. It might clear you never know I've only ever had them leak. You need to buy the pump complete you can't get the back plate. Its the heating pump thats faulty not the DHW one like I said for a start.
