hi just registered as I’ve got a problem with my boiler I hope one of you kind people maybe able to help me with.
I’ve got a Worcester 35cdi 2 boiler, this morning I noticed the pressure was at nearly 3 bar(not been used since last night) so I used the pressure release valve to bring it back down to 1 bar, put the heating on later tonight but after about an hour noticed the rads had gone back cold, went to the boiler no pressure so tried to top up pressure but as it started to fill it started leaking water from one of joins I’ll try to upload a picture but just wondered if it’s going to be a costly job or can I fix it my self thanks.

It’s the nut with the blue on it.

there not the best for a diy repair so best to get a pro in

Generally once you start disturbing joints to repair a leak another one will leak in sympathy.
Just down to age of the boiler.
You will prob find that by using the PRV to drain of excess pressure the boiler will not hold pressure very well anymore due to not re-seating correctly/well.
As above get a GSR in to resolve the initial problem & maybe carry out a proper service as i would guess it's not been serviced properly for a while going by your issue's,
Thanks,
Andy

As above, get a gas safe registered engineer in. As for cost everyone and area is different. I would expect it to cost that much, perhaps just the callout fee, or expect to pay for an hour or 2 labour? Depending on what else they may find wrong with it/ additional work, so don’t quote me on that.
