Went to this today but couldn't get case off so will be returning tomorrow when customer removes shelves. Got hw no heating, changed battery in room stat didn't seem to help. System has radiators and UFH underfloor pump isn't kicking in. Pump in boiler was really hot to touch but wasn't seized. When I return to this tomorrow I hope not to be spending too much time at it so was wondering if it would be wise to bring a thermostat with me incase it's that? Diverter valve sounds like it's moving and motorised valves are operational.

Any air vents? I would be installing Aav at high point ? If pump moving water? Or is it air locked / going to over heat? Turn it off and on let de airstrip do its job?

Boiler is a combi don't think it's an airlock, it's not registering the demand from any room stats it fired sometimes but didn't heat up much or circulate, boiler didn't overheat. Pump in boiler didn't sound too healthy and was hot to touch indicating some resistance. I'm going to test the pump tomorrow and link out the stats, should I bring a boiler stat or anyhing else it could be, got a really busy day tomorrow and would like to be able to repair if possible without having to go to merchants as I may not get there til after 5

The pump will be working or they would have no hot water. Check for your switch live. Bridge out the terminals LR and LS to cut out external controls.

is it a greenstar cdi ? I had same problem other day firing up then cutting out not overheating . it was the diverted motor, replaced all ok.

Try running heating then when it cuts off run hot tap and feel if it's really red hot to start then gets stable if so ill would be looking at diverter moter.

My mate's had this link out the stat and it was a faultyroom stat Worcester range
