got a w/b 24i junior, the pressure reads '0' yet the boiler runs perfectly!.

any of you seen this before or can shed light why it continues to run?

if the boiler is topped up then the guage will read the pressure so it is actually working.

No low water pressure switch on these so they will happily steam themselves to death

gauge knackered in danger of melting no lwps just a OH stat

****!
its my own boiler so was watching to see what it does, or when it stops working.
that was 4 months ago lol.
the gauge works though, when theres pressure there.!!

could always rip it out and put a baxi on hehe..

I like that they have no low water pressure switch! It's just a weak link those things!
Often see the gauge quiet low, but it still has all the water in the system, just not pressurised to 1 bar... In theory I guess the boiler would work off a tank fed system lol??

Very weak boilers I have found with these.

Before I was qualified, my Grandmas used to fail year after years, always the PCB and amount of time she got the engineers out to it!

think this is the one where the pcb has a ment, goes to max or above rate, ignores all sensors and melts the aps and y peice

its been in 6 years and last seviced it 3 years ago. thsats bad!! but no problems for a freebie

Ignores all sensors , and appears more reliable !

Just like WB ads , that's a feature !

(Gas man - on your axe list yet ? )

Seen alot of green deal worcesters like that, merrily churning away with not a lick of pressure in them

Me too ian I've seen loads of Worcesters with nearly no pressure . Either they don't have or they're poor standard n don't work . Even the new models .

no reason for it not to work realy the low water sensors are only needed if the boiler is the highest point on the system the weak link for causing boilers to empty and self destruct is actually the prv if the prv was at the op of the system all that would happen is the top rads would stop like on old systems where the ball valve got stuck up

Serious? These are one of the better Worcesters. Never had much trouble with them & have a load on my patch. Great boilers in my opinion.

Serious, it's thrown another wobbler again tonight so I'm off first thing in the morning.

She wants a new boiler now!
