Evening Guys,

No heating or water from our Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30cdi conventional boiler.

When starting up the boiler the pilot light comes on for around 30/40 seconds. There is then sharp gurgling noises and the ignition from the pilot light goes out. I did a quick video here which I hope describes the issue better than I do.

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

right

first issue you shouldn't of really taken the case off as its a gas appliance, and you need to be gas safe to do this

is the pump running? (right hand side green whilo)

Yes the pump appears to be running fine

put the cover back on

under the boiler can you will see two pipes left and right of the middle pipe

any chance of a pic?

Here you go sorry Lighting and quality is poor

thats great now any chance of a pic front on to the boiler further back?

How have you confirmed the pump is running ? Is your system fed from an feed an expansion tank or is it sealed/pressurised?

There is hot and cold water header tank in loft then a seperate cylinder tank on 1st floor. It's a conventional Worcester boiler.

I have attached pictures showing boiler and piping.

Thanks

Your best option would be to contact a gas safe / heating engineer

You have a circulation issue tho

Hi, As above you have circulation prob, looks like not been properly serviced for a while & also supply cable plug issue.
Call a GSR engineer to come out & sort or possibly W.B. may give you a fixed price repair/service.
Cheers,
Andy (Allgoode Ltd)

Hi ,
Had the same problem few weeks ago & proved to be condensation siphon needed a good clean .
Now works fine.

That wouldn't explain why the system temp goes 80+ dc

And you need to be gas safe to do this
