We have a Worcester Bosch greenstar boiler and a MT10RF thermostat.the clock on the MT10RF is not working,my question is can I just buy a new MT10RF without haveing to replace the Boiler Receiver,I do understand that to buy new, the Thermostat and Receiver come as a pair, but if the receiver is working fine can I just buy a used clock on its own from say ebay.I understand that Worcester Bosch say that the pair come pre comissioned from the factory, but I do see many on Ebay sold seperatly but will they be compatible with my Receiver
Thanks in advance

is your boiler under warranty still? if so phone worcester and they may fix it for free.

as for the pairing of the stat to the rec, it should be possible. i would phone worcester and confirm with them on there customer helpline. you should know that most wb greenstars need a gas safe engineer to take the case off to change the rec.

Thankyou for the reply,The Boiler is out of warranty and I feel phoneing there helpline could be a waste of time in that could I trust there advice?,wouldnt they just say that the items have to be paired as a unit,it is in there interest to sell new units afterall, its just that these units are £150 plus,so by just getting the clock on its own I could potencially make a big saving, plus as you say, I would need a fitter to fit it,I thought I may be able to fit it myself just by plugging it in,but now with your advice, not so sure?,thinking about it I may follow your advice on phoneing helpline, can't do any harm.would just like to know if other members have done this fix I'm looking at,Thanks again for your time spent in helping

What? Get yourself down to plumbcenter. The off the shelf joe public offer is £60 but yes you can pair them
