In January 2016, we had a Worcester combi boiler fitted in our garage, it works OK, but the pipework consisting of 3 pipes about 1.5 inches in diameter goes across the top of the garage doors and down the other side where the main house wall is situated.(see photo)
One pie is for the gas supply, the other two and for the central heating forward and return.
The mail problem is this when the garage door is opened an aluminium strut moves and nearly catches the pipework. The plumber has put some thin tape around the pipes for installation but this has worn away, I have tried to put my own insulation around these pipes but only with limited success.
The pipe lagging or part of the uninsulated pipework is about 3-4 feet in length.
Is it worth messing about and having the pipework diverted along the house wall to stop the aluminum tube and nearly catching on the pipework. I was thinking on the lines that some of the pipework is uninsulated and over time it is going loose heat, bearing in mind, if I had it altered, I would have to get a plumber and it would cost to alter the pipework etc.?
