Changing the diverter in above boiler tomorrow. Just wanted some heads up as its first time and have heard it can be quite awkward. The part came today and it had with it a few washers and o rings which seems one bonus at least. How long would you reckon I could be looking at to change it bear in mind it's my first attempt:dunce2:

Depending on which CDI (I assume that's what you meant) anything from 1 hour to 4
Can't remember which, but some had the diaphragm housing facing to the front and some to the side
Just repeat, in the words of Capt Oates, "I may be some time"

first time i did one took 4 and half hours vowed never again but can now do them in under 1 hour if all goes well, just clean all the joints and i use potable silicon on the o rings and washers

Yeah wish I had never taken on to be honest. Is it a case of phex out to get to diverter?

Plate has to come out and filling link usually. Last one I did took 4 hours and the last one I passed to someone else as didn't have the time.

How easy is it to get at Boiler ? Hope its not in a cupboard, some of the connections can be a pig to undo

Just an update finished job. Took me about 3 hours. What a pain of a job it was. At least I got all new washers and other rings as that would be a nightmare without them. Think twice next time before doing one. Luckily boiler had quite good access to it.

not a great job to do but once you have done one you do get quicker like i said if all goes well i can do one in under an hour good access is the key
