hi every one and merry Christmas to you all.

i wonder if you can help. i have just bought a new home fitted with a Worcester 24i junior condensing boiler , i used it yesterday and it worked ok on hot water and CH. however when i tried to use CH and hot water today no joy so i checked the water pressure gauge and it was in the red so i filed the system up to 1.5 bar.and tried to reset the boiler but no go the green warning light just keeps flashing slowly, after i reset, no ignition, the fan and pump run but it just trips out, i have tried running HW and CH on there own still trips out won't reset, was wondering if it could be the diver-ta valve?
moving in on Monday so any help would be appreciated thanks in advance. BM

If its new, get worcester out, i think you have till 7 to get hold of them.

they will carry the spares to do the boiler.

but get hold of them now if you want a chance to get them before xmas!

not new just asking. to make sure i have tried all the obvious things a layman can do

Don't know if this has been resolved. I had a similar problem on a worcester, diverter valve was sticking, cleared blockage and was then working fine. Providing you have gas on and boiler fires up and actually runs. You will be better off getting someone in who knows what they are doing though.

thanks for that prob is it dose not fire up probably needs good clean out will get some one in. as boiler is in loft and i have asbestos's short of breath and all that, been in the plumbing and electrical industry all my life (65) now. but appreciate the advice. thanks again and have a good Christmas and all the best for new year BM

Worcester man man called today and fitted new fan, it would have cost £200 just for fan, but i took out years cover @ £25 per month = £300 per year, which included current repair, also if i take out policy next year i get boiler serviced which normally costs £50, so good deal all round i think.

yes thanks for your help and advice all the best for new year, cheers BM
