Hi everyone!

My Worcester Greenstar 30CDi Combi boiler started making a rather loud juddering noise two nights ago. I bled all the radiators and releaaed air from the system. Repressurised the system afterwards with the water valve and the noise had stopped... until about the same the next day. The noise started again, although it wasn't as loud. I have turned the boiler off for now and decided to look underneath the boiler to see if I could see anything obvious. I discovered some rusty-coloured deposits forming a stalactite hanging from the leftmost joint. Also deposits around different seams of said joint. I touched the end of the stalactite and a small piece snapped off. It was also a little wet on the end. I have attached images of these deposits.

Is this likely to be the cause of the juddering? The boiler has also been slowly losing pressure. Is this likely to be causing that, too?

Any help is apreciated :)

Thanks,
Phil

No that’s just a washer leaking

Is the boiler making the sound or the radiators
