just serviced one of these this morning , tenant calls me now saying it displas 2 fault codes like > < , and then a -l l- . she said then , it did show these before you came over! I didn't see them and had boiler running on heating and hot water, and in servicing mode, whats wrong with it?

Tried the normal off the on again ?

Nothing, if main power has been off its going through self check mode takes up to 30 min then it will run as normal

That's a bit stupid never come across that before

You can put the boiler into service mode to work on it but it does go straight back to checking itself after.

I have a Worcester combi at home (Badged BG) not my choice was here when we moved in, but living out in the sticks we get quite a few power cuts sometimes just quick on and off, boiler straight into self check mode, got used to it now,

Servicing on a Sunday morning?

Sounds like condense or air purge mode... Didn't think the si had digit display unless its the later compact one?

si compact do but the normal si dont

Turn it off on the engineer menu.

Sometimes a pcb fault causes it to come on for no reason, so either replace pcb or turn off in settings

In my humble opinion the condense trap two inverted ts [ -||- ] is a big pain in the backside because quite often it goes through the motions even if theres been no interruption of power. Customers often think its a fault . If I we're Worcester I'd do away with the sequence.
