Hi, I'm new to this and before I start, I've got a gas safe engineer coming out tomorrow, but I'd appreciate any advice so I know I'm not being messed about.

At the weekend I noticed that boiler water pressure read 0 after the heating did not come on in the evening. I then repressurised system as previous engineer (who replaced diverter valve motor 6 month ago) instructed using key and bleeding radiators etc. I then turned the boiler back on and after around 90secs the blue light starts to flash every 2 secs and the red reset starts to flash. After resetting - same occurs. No hot water or heating. I've pressed in the "spanner" button for 10secs and the same occurs again, starts to go blue and then into red reset.

On advice from previous engineer I checked the condensate pipe/siphon was clear and all was OK/clear. The pressure relief pipe also clear and no signs of water/leaks from this pipe. Only thing I can hear is the sound of the fan as soon as the boiler is started and then just before the reset flashes the fan speed appears to increase and then eventually dies 20 secs after the reset lamp comes on.

Any ideas/thought on what's going on ould be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds like a small leak somewhere as the pressure is dropping, best get a gas safe registered engineer to have a look though if its up to pressure now and isn't working there is another issue.
