Re: Mr

Not sure i have ever come up against this fault before! I have never seen a fanny on a boiler or a boiler that makes fanny noises! actually, what does a fanny noise sound like?

Boiler works perfectly ok, but it starting to produce strong noise after couple of minutes, soon as I take off condensation trap he stops. I cleaned trap filled back with the water same thing again. I had this one 3-4 years ago old model non condesing we install new boiler because customer was sick of paying people for call outs!

Isn't the guarantee 2 year on Worcester? Just get them out.

Yes, that's true if I installed it would be even 5 years, but there is no record of installers, benchmark even no gas safty, people relly suck they just bought place!

Still worth a try though. They should be able to tell the age from the serial.

Sounds a bit odd! If he fan is making a noise one would first assume worn bearings or misplaced impeller. But taking the condensate trap off stopping the noise is interesting.

Is the waste from the trap blocked by any chance?

Obviously taking the trap off must be effecting something.

We once had a Glow Worm condenser that would not go at all, but would run for a short time and then shut down.

The makers came out, cleaned the trap out and Hey Presto! away it went.
We all felt like a load of nutters, after something so simple was found to be the fault. But we learnt a good lesson.

bernies onto something.
when your removing the trap, you are in effect opening the combustion chamber.
you will be changing the pressure inside combustion chamber, so maybe their is a leak or worn seals. try a spillage test on the casing!
