Been asked to quote for a Worcester system boiler with filter and wave.
Now wondering whether to do the hot water for the kitchen tap off a combi instead of a system boiler(next door to each other) and the 2 bathrooms off the unvented. What do you guys reckon and will the wave still work in that system.

dont think the wave will work with heat only boilers i may be wrong (hope i am)

I was going to put a system boiler in (pretty sure they work with the wave, that's what the website says) then thought put a combi in as cheaper and they can have instant hot water at the kitchen tap.

you are right but needs to be a system else you wont be able to control the cylinder if on a combi

was thinking or the ri series (sorry)

Probs need the integral diverter for the wave to work

Ring worcester and ask their advice on best set up for the circumstances, ive done 3 of the system boilers with the integral diverter linked to an unvented and wave controls

Would it not be cheaper to run secondary return loop to kitchen then branch off?

Spoke to Worcester and the system boiler has to have the integral diverter to work with the wave.
Wave wouldn't work for my second option of installing combi, instead of the system boiler Which is a shame as I would of preferred doing that, that's how I usually do them as
It's cheaper, but the customer has his heart set on a wave.
