Work boots for hot weather

Probably been done before, but has anyone had good experience of work boots or trainers that are cool in summer. Must have toe caps ( steel or Kevlar)
my feet are killing me with the hot weather. Do good socks mske any difference too?

I try and get gore tex lined boots so they can breathe and still be waterproof.

Am on my second set of these, they last around a year for me (I usually go through a set every 6 months historically)

Lightweight and not too hot, but composite toecap and midsole for protection.

a proper fit , and cutting your nails ... wearing in some new footwear

Material...mainly cotton with a minimal amount of synthetic content, maybe worth replacing the insole too as it isn't something workboot manufacturers seem to pay much attention too.

Every time I get a new pair of boots it get two of the comfort insoles like the ones from Screwfix and sick them in, makes all the difference
