Thinking about taking a different route to getting work . gone a touch quiet last few weeks so thinking of other options.
Currently advertise two main ways 1, checkatrade which has died off very few calls through that of late .
2, Local rags own internet site which has also died a death .
Use to get a lot of small jobs off the local rag however its expensive and has died right off as well.

Soo was thinking about binning the rag and maybe giving my builder or rated peeps a whirl my thinking was if i spend 150 a month on the rag then why not buy leads and actually get to quote some work.

Anyone had much success on these??

I found the small jobs on rated people to be ok. But it does cost a fortune. The bigger jobs avoid like the plague.

What I did was if no one had bought a small job I phoned them and went out that day so that no one else had a chance to get in there.

Leaflets have been the best for me, I had 10000 delivers over 2 months and got lots of enquiries not done them this month and phone has stopped.
