Hi all ive just replaced my bath and basically ran pipework an extra metre and a half to the new ta location. The taps i have installed were given to me ages ago and are £36 to buy and apparantly work to 0.2bar. However the flow rate is pants and i just couldnt possibly wait that long to fill a bath every time. Is the main reason the relocated pipework (im thinking not) or if i install new taps which pressure should i go for? Thanks guys. The boiler is a combi worcester 24cdi and is in the cupboard behind the bath

I doubt its the taps, unless they are faulty, sounds more like the boiler.

How is the hot water elsewhere in the house?

Its usually mixer taps that have the problem with pressure, some require at least 1 bar to work properly. In other words the more the flow through the tap is restricted the more pressure you need to push the water out of it.

If your fitting a pair of straight forward 3/4" bath taps, the water should gush out to near enough max flow from a combi. If it doesn't I would look at the water pressure going to and coming from the combi.

But then if it worked before you moved the bath, why doesn't it work now?

Have you opened all valves? Checked the mains water filter on the combi. Have you run solder inside the pipe? Is the tap faulty.

Water heat is fine its the rate that the water comes out of the tap. I could pee faster. Old taps were fine and all ive done is relocate pipework appx 1.5 metres. New taps look nice but they came free with a bath years ago. From my experience things that are free are s**te

just because its free it does not mean it can be of poor quality your staturory rights still stand

Can you find out what taps they are and from there seek the folw rates from the manufacturer?

What happens if you take the taps off? whats the flow like then?

easy one,
have you opened your mains stop tap right up?.
or,
take of the pipe fit hose with jubilee clip run into bath,
whats preasure like?
if its better you have a blockage at the tap.

get into the tap washer as its proberbly siezed from fully opening.
if there taps with the airator on the nozzle, pull them out.
