    Might be an air gap built in to the washing machine hence the sealed end into the pipe etc First picture is fine

    Yes trim down the brass 1/2 thread to match your build up afterwards eg normally make sure the female iron fitting is flush on the front with the plasterboard etc

    Does the pilot light at all with both buttons pressed eg gas valve button and ignition ? You have gas don’t you eg pre pay meter ?

    You will need two eg one system pack eg for hot water and one zone eg screwfix code 246JK Then a single zone pack for the remaining zone eg screwfix code 673JK

    Could be a few things eg feed and vent tees in the wrong place, pump too strong, pump weak and boiling over, system blocked
