    Which power flush upgrade

Hi all. Just upgraded my powerflush machine with one of these: CalFlush Max - The Ultimate Powerflush Unit From Williams at £750 plus VAT. When I popped into Plumbase recently to pick up some boiler spares, I noticed they are selling this Fernox machine, with a bigger tank, free training...

Minimum size of an aav off a stub stack

Anyone know the regs with this. Got two commercial toilets to refurb. The client wants to box (with access panels) the stub stacks. Currently they have an AAV on each. I seem to remember you can buy a type which can be beneath the overflow height of the lowest sanitary item, but the idea that...

    Worcester 18/25 Heat slave

Called to commission a WB - 18/25 Heatslave. Customer was out, so I called Worcester to get the figures. I set up the air, and pump pressure, and couldn't get the CO2 anywhere close. Was aiming for 12.5 and could at best get to 10. So called Worcester again, who told me to play with the air...

New install on an old system.

Hi all. I've been asked to quote against another installer on a house that has a pretty old system. The house is very old, and plush internally. Infact it was built in the 1500's. Guess the heating system is older than me. The client has always been on oil, but has recently taken an...

Adding a wireless stat to a Glow Worm 30 ci

Hi all. I've been asked to fit a stat to the above boiler. I have had a look at the manual as I'm scheduled to fit a CM927 tomorrow. The existing boiler has a integral timer. (With the pins). LPG installation, earthing

Hi all, I'm just pricing up a little install for a gas hob. It's an LPG installation from a change over kit. I was wondering if I should price in to bang an earth rod into the ground, and run some 10mm3 cable to the pipe work, so it's earthed. This isn't about equipotential bonding, which I...
