Commercial Catering
Anyone do it? What are the pros and cons of the job? There seems to be a lot of work about for it so I'm thinking of renewing my gas ticket and then getting my COMCAT.
I bet it's hot and smelly right? I can't imagine it's technically too challenging though? I mean...
I got talking to a commercial gas guy recently. He said that he finds it much easier than domestic. The fact that you're not going into peoples homes for once thing makes things less stressful.
Also he says that because everything in commercial gas is bigger it's less fiddly This combined with...
Hi, I was in doing my commercial change over from domestic. And the lecturer had a software program where you could just enter the meters of pipework and which meter and it would do all the calculations for you. It was based on a spreadsheet, anyone got any ideas what it was called?
Thanks sam

Hi all. Just been to look at my first job working on a hotel. A leak on a 35mm hot water downpipe where it tees off to 28mm.
I have actually never soldered anything larger than 28mm before to be honest. Is 35mm and larger soldered the same way, but just running the blowtorch around the...
Does anyone have a chart for gas pipe volume for commercial sizes?
I need info for 54mm to 108mm stainless steel or copper pipe, Volume of gas per meter of pipe.
I cant find my book that has it. Thanks
Been offered some of this and am thinking about it but have some reservations like some of the meters costing well in excess of 100k and who is at fault should it fall off the hoist.
But the potential profit is luring me in! It does mean I'll need to sit the commercial stuff and I've been out...
I've got this job in an office block, where I handle there maintenace requirements and they've asked me if I can service there boiler.
