My IDEAL central heating boiler is over 30 years old and had been 'kettling' for some months. My plumber drained the system, refilled it with some kind of sludge remover, drained it again and refilled with the required anti-corrosion stuff. The boiler is now very quiet. BUT, when set for 'hot...

Hi, can anyone help me identify what's causing my hot water tap to be so noisy? I have made a short video which can be viewed here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9RfozGmRjt9cnI3Y3BvcHFNdk0
This is in the sink in the bathroom and seems particularly bad first thing in the morning but can...

Hello. Can anyone help / advise.
I have a potterton Suprima combi boiler. Just recently it has started making a really loud 'clicking' and banging
from the actual boiler, and then a very odd 'scraping' from the tank.
The boiler frequently cuts out, and has to be re set.
I had a plumber...
Hi,
I fitted underfloor heating to my combi central heating system.
Since fitting it I have a loud noise like water whooshing through the rads. I have made several changes to try and cure the problem. It seems the most likely cause is air in the system.
I have drained the system several times...

Our boiler/pump has been making a strange pulsating noise for a while now. I've uploaded a video here:
https://youtu.be/joe6JuFu4bk
It's a Valliant Ecotec plus boiler and a Grundfos alpha+ pump. The boiler works fine still but the noise can be overpowering.
Any advice? Do you think a new...
My first job in the morning is a noisy boiler that the customer is unable to reset.
I do not know which boiler, I don't even know if it's a combi or not.
Anyway armed with this limited info what would you be thinking to check before you arrive?
I'm thinking seized /slow running pump or blockage.
Just changed the blower motor on my heatslave 20/25 and to be honest its no better, I can hear the boiler throughout my pipwork and rads, pretty sure its not the water pump as I have listened to that run without the fan mortor running, what can make a boiler so noisy?
Hi, I live in a flat at there is a high pitched monotone noise coming from the water pipes which come into the flat from the loft. The pipes also go through the floor to the flat below. This has only started today, there is no water running, and the guy downstairs is out so he's not running...

Please help
A few years ago we had a new combination boiler installed by British gas
This involved moving it to a different place in the house
After the work the installer told me he had tapped into the existing water pipes nearer the new position of the boiler which had in fact reversed...
Hi.
I have a sealed system with 3 2way valves for HW, upstairs CH and downstairs CH.
The ABV whistled when downstairs heating was on. Plumber by chance twiddled with ABV which stopped the whistle.
Now ABV and noise around that loop is incredible noisy, can be heard throughout the whole house...
Hi
my original boiler a potterton netaheat was over 20 years old and although having performed very well, was retired 5 years ago. It was replaced with a Valiant ecotec plus 418.
unfortunately at the same time I had an extension built and the original location of the hot water cylinder was moved...
Out of the blue recently we are experiencing an odd vibration from or near our Megaflo Cylinder. The noise occurs when toilets are refilling after flushing (doesn't matter which one) or when the washing machine/dishwasher is taking water. It appears to be coming from either the cylinder itself...
Can anyone advise please:
I have recently completed an en-suite and downstairs toilet refurb (DIY). The monoblock mixer taps I have fitted to both hand basins are very noisy. One was sourced from Victoria Plum and is rated maximum 3 bar...
I have two 8000 liter water tanks which are fed by a 1" supply pipe operating at approx. 4 bar. When the tanks are full the water supply is cut off by traditional float valves. While the valves are fully open or fully closed the noise levels are acceptable. The problem I am trying to solve is...

Hi anybody have any experience of this fault? There has been an ongoing problem with what can only be described as what sounds like water/air turbulence within the coil of the indirect cylinder when DHW is selected on the programmer.
The vent pipes in both the F&E and main water tank have been...
