Hi All,
I have 29 year old Baxi 24kw conventional boiler (No model number sorry) in front of the burners inside the case is what I can best describe as a rectangular piece of insulation\fibre board\rockwool consistency which protects the case from getting hot. This has cracked and fallen into...
Hi, hope someone can help!
So the main pipe which runs down the side of our building taking water from our flat and the flat below's bathroom seems to have come loose from where it meets the ground floor flat. Photo hopefully shows this. All bathroom water is going onto the roof of the garden...
An old lady has a combi
The pressure is very very low, it's an older system & the fill loop is a flexi pipe with like 2 tap heads at either end.
One of the taps won't turn much as all, the other turned but leaks very bad.
I don't know what it's called!! Any thoughts?
I've asked for a fill...
To cut a long story short, I started reading the the WRAS Water Regs book again:
G16.1 d states that a G1/2 size valve (do they mean a 1/2" valve as opposed to, say, a 3/4" valve?) must be 'constructed so that the water shut-off level may be altered [...] without bending the float lever.' So...
Hi All

hi all im in my 4th year of plumbing at college, today we started our electrical part of the course then get told after we have passed our exam we are not qualified to touch electrics unless we sit another exam (part p). but my question is if i pay £800 or so to become part p in 4 or 5 days...
Hi folks.
I'm hoping to be able to fix my brother's wetroom shower. There is a tray which collects water and when the water reaches a certain point, it's supposed to activate a pump which removes the excess water. I believe there is a part missing from inside the part shown in the picture as...
I think it's time for me to get a part p. I am trying to move my business in the direction of heating engineering and certified electrical installations.
whats my options regarding part p courses? Is it still a cheeky 2 day course to be a domestic installer or has that changed?
my gas is the...
Hi. I wonder if you can help. My son finished his level 2 plumbing at college last year. Has been unable to find an apprenticeship and is looking for a trainee position full or part time with a plumber/builder in order to desperately gain experience and skills in plumbing something he doesn't...
Hi,

It's Halstead part number 300562 (22mm ball valve) and is now obsolete. The boiler is otherwise working perfectly fine.
I'm trying to source a spare, it any still...

I've got a job replacing an instantaneous shower for exactly the same make and model. As it was like for like I assumed I could wire it up.
Iv just been informed that because it's in a bathroom, a zoned area, like for like does not count and a part p needs to install.
This does make sense so...
Ok so iam pricing for x2 full oil heating installs, whoop :)
The properties have never had central heating, so acording to part L they are classed as a ''new system'' and have to comply with part L

Surely to...
Does anyone know the part numbers for the copper pipes that replace the flow and return hoses in Vaillant EcoTecs please? You know the ones that burst (or clog up) and have now been replaced with copper ones with slip joints...
Cheers! Oh and prices would be good too if possible!
Went to a ecotec plus 824 (gc number 47 044 31)
It has a leak on the water pressure sensor BODY... I can only find a replacement sensor ( which fits into the body) not the body itself... I managed to find an exploded view of all the ecotec range but this part was not on any of the images...
