    Honeywell 2 port

Just curious, I need to change a 2 port valve, there is an iso just above it but not below, if it's a sealed system can I not just shut off the iso and replace without draining, and if a vented system bung the feed and vent and replace without draining? It's a 2 floor house and the valve is on...

Best 2 port 22mm zone valves normally closed

So heres the story, my own boiler was replaced a year ago. All 4 zone valves were replaced at my suggestion..... for reliability reasons (they were 20 years old) - Now the motor has conked out on one of the new ones in 15 months. So before some random stuff gets put in - I want a 20 year life...

Two port zone valve on cylinder return

Come across some of these recently, usually only ever see them on the flow to the cylinder, not on the return from it. Any reason for this? Does it make any difference as still won't be any flow unless there is a call from the cylinder stat?

    Sunvic 3 port valve

Hi ... I'm changing a 3 port Sunvic valve (MK1453). I've read that instead of replacing the body you can replace just the inners as this is held by 4 screws. If this is possible, will the system need to be drained first or is there a 'shortcut' ? Thanks in advance for any replies.

3 port valve - which way is flow?

Is there any standard convention for which ports of a valve are open in relation to the flat on the valve spindle? I have a 3 port zone valve (unknown make/model), controlled by an actuator. The actuator linkage broke and, now that I am replacing it, I can't fathom out which position it should...

Heating zoned on a three port

Hi. Went to a job where they wanted a new thermostat for the downstairs as it wasn't working properly. Having looked at the controls it was a 2 zone system where they'd used a 3 port to differentiate between them. Bizarre. Anyone seen this before?
