Home owner here. All was working fine this morning. Now the boiler comes on and quickly runs up to to over 100 centigrade and then cuts out for both CH and HW singly or together. I have checked the power to all the 3 port valves and there is power. There is no power to the pump (a typical red...

Any advice would be most welcome, thanks
I have a few Milwaukee power tools for sale. All tools are used but in great condition as I am a little OCD about my tools. I have two 18 volt 1/2" hammer drills. I am asking 40£ for one and 50£ for the other one as it is newer and in better condition. I also have a 1/4" impact driver for 45£...
Hi all
I've got a Glow Worm Ultracom CXi30 combi boiler which starts dripping water when the power to it is switched off. The house is 6 years old and the boiler was installed when it was built.
This happened once about 5 years ago when we went on holiday and the in-laws popped in and...
Evening all,
I had a call back today from a month ago or so. The power trips when a) immediate demand for dhw and b) a few seconds after demand for ch. We replaced the programmer, cylinder stat and 3 port before (a different reason). This has only started a couple of days ago so I know it's...
Been called to flush a system that's running a "exposed" grant oil boiler. It's been in place for a year. Advice please are they ok to power flush or should I bypass the boiler
Hi
I found this smart thermostat product on the web and am interested in it for a property that's not always in use. I can't find any user feedback anywhere else on the web and wondered if any of you professionals had any experiences you could pass on, positive or negative !
It's sold in...
Hi fellas,
have a power flush lined up for later this week - use a Fernox machine and have done quite a few in the past but never on a combi boiler. This boiler is a Warmflow Kabin Pak system boiler with the twin head pump. I would normally attach the power flush machine to the pump valves but...
Hi all, when you want to power flush a combi boiler and you turn the mains power of to the boiler, how do you know if the diverter valve is in central heating and not hot water?
I.e. the water is being pumped through the main heat exchanger?
:drool5:
Hi,
I have a Salus IT500 controlling my vaillant ecotec 418 open vented boiler.
The hot water is heated for 2 hours and when the time is up the Salus stops the water heating cycle and leaves the boiler to cool down. The boiler shows the pump symbol for the external pump running, but the salus...
I use Power Flush FX2 and the crystals to clean the CH pipe work. I find that it takes ages to get the dump water clear. It took me less than 20 min to do the job by using mains cold water pushing all the dirty water out. 2-3 min per rad, job’s done. OK, it’s a bit of waste of water… What are...
Hi guys I have a Potterton Boiler this heats up the radiators and the hot water.
There is also an immersion heater in the airing cupboard too that we leave
switched off.
Our water was cold the other day and we noticed when the heating and water lights come on on the timer panel the pilot...
Hi guys, I am new here so would like to say hello All!
Is there anyone that could help?
At Christmas last year our boiler started playing up its a Potterton

Hi all,
I've got an old power shower to replace and would of course like to make it look good (no visible pipes etc...) but the one I'm replacing isn't made any more.
Here's a photo of the insides including where the pipes go into the unit so I'd be very grateful if anyone's got any relevant...
