Alright guys? Just a quick one. If there is 2 open flued fires in the same room, totalling 13kw combined, but the room used to be 2 rooms eith the dividing wall now removed, does it now need a vent? Or is adventitious air still applicable as it used to be 2 rooms?

    Wireless Room Stats

Went to a job today reporting of no heating. Heating only boiler with a cylinder for dhw - s plan. After creating demand on the water, confirmed the pump and boiler was fine. Neutral on room stats

Some have it, some don't, but can anyone please explain why? What does it do? As the stat is a simple on/off switch. I fit Honeywell two-wire ones normally so I've never really had to think about it except when replacing stats like-for-like but would like to understand the principle.. Cheers!

GAS Question - Open Flue vs Room Sealed

Just to reiterate, Croppy said it was cool to ask gas questions in here as I'm doing my gas at the mo. Well, I've passed all my exams and practicals, I just need to do my portfolio. Anyway.. How do you tell if, say a boiler for example, is room sealed or open flued (if the open flued boiler...

Two rads + room thermostat - omit TRVs on one, or both?

Hi Guys - just a quickie! I'm aware that a TRV shouldn't be fitted to a rad in a thermostat-controlled room, but does that apply to all rads, when more than one is fitted in the room - regardless of how they may be proportioned? Cheers

Trvs on rads in the same room

Hi folks, I'm trying to work out drainage for garden room with 1 x toilet, 1 x basin, 1 x shower. Because the drain has to run several metres to get to the building, there is very little height to play with to connect into it. I have attached a sketch of what I'm thinking of doing...
