Hi all,
I have a problem with my toilet whereby it expels water into the pan after the flush has finished and cistern has refilled. It's a fair amount of water - lasts for as long and sounds as if somebody's having a pee.
There's no slow trickle afterwards, it just does it's thing and stops...
When i am heating the hot water the pump keeps running even though the boiler has stopped heating up the water, the only way i can stop the pump is by lowering the temp on the thermostat attached to the tank. I know there is a over-run on the pump but not for over 30 minutes surely.Could it be...
Hi, I moved into a new build house few months ago, there have was a problem of radiators going hot whenever hot water was heated up in hot water cylinders. After months of visits, this has been solved by installation of valves under floor which stopped the problem, it took about 10 visits...
Trying get my head around this one.
Worcester 28i RSF (twin pass heat exchanger) is heating rads when running hot tap. Other Engineers have just told customer to turn down TRV's. Not a fix for the problem as bypass rad still heats.
Any ideas?
Check valves on flow and return bellow boiler maybe?
Hi, I apologise if this is in the wrong section.

Hi All,
Hopefully someone can help with a problem I've encountered....which is baffling me (and a few of the other plumbers I’ve asked)! A builder who I've done some work for asked me to have a look at his kitchen tap....because he said that when he runs the bath, which is upstairs, the...
Had this come up again last week, and just wanted to pass on this tip:
If you come to a Riello RDB burner which has the motor running but does not attempt to fire, or takes a long time to fire, it can either be the photocell or the motor. Most often it is the photocell. To test, pull the...
Hi all,

Hi
I live in a small 2 bed flat and have for my hot water only a vented combination cylinder with two emersion elements in the bottom of the cylinder and the top part of the cylinder appears to be the cold water feed tank.
All was ok until the last few days when I run any of my taps after...
Hi folks,
Was hoping you could shed some light on this problem so I can work out how to solve it.
My downstairs kitchen sink emits the rotten egg smell (which I've googled and learnt is sulphur deposits) when the upstairs bathroom sink is running hot water!
I've googled this problem...
Looking for some help on a few issues with my Ideal Classic boiler.

From what I can see in the wiring box it appears that someone has added...
I have some routing issues with my grey waste - I have to get over or under another appliance. I don't want to go up, as the washer will back-fill. I was wondering about the possibility of installing the usual pipe down to floor level (for reasons I won't go into I can run a 40mm pipe along...
Hi All,
I need to run a washing machine waste pipe in close proximity to an oil boiler. I understand that there shouldn't be any plastic pipework within 1m(?). What should I use?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mark

Hello
