I'm trying to replace an old outdoor tap that is connected to some MDPE piping (the house is built on an old road depot and it was an existing installation). It has a "Round Mixer Tap Connector" for the hose but it leaks like crazy and when I took the tap off to have a look, I was sure there...

Hi all, I have a customer who is complaining of not having enough hot water.
Its a father and 19 year old son, 2 bed cottage, 1 bath, 1 basin, 1 kitchen sink.
The old cylinder is 450 x 900 indirect, although there is no boiler in the cottage, there are pipes connected to the coil which seem to...
Hi, I tried to fit a new basin yesterday, the taps are connected to old steel pipe in my 30's house. The thread on the steel t-piece is slightly larger than 22mm, more like 23mm or perhaps of imperial it's supposed to be 7/8 inch. I need a coupler from this thread to 15mm but can't find any...
Went to an emergency call out today at a hair salon that has a load of foreign basins and traps are all leaking. I need to change them out but my problem is that the waste shank is slightly smaller than inch and 1/4 - like almost fits.
Anyone know any other sizes it could possibly be or suggest...
Hi I'm new here so hopefully I have posted this in the correct section. I have oil fired central heating with small galvanized housing outside which houses the boiler and oil burner. The oil delivery man had to bleed the system last time and I lost the key so we forced the door off. I'm looking...
Hi,
I hope someone can help me out on this one, I recently bought a house that's approx 30 years old and I'm working my way through it bringing stuff up to date.
The radiators {flat panel} are probably the original ones but I can't fathom if they are Imperial or Metric sizes, most of them are...
Went to a call out today for a bath tap that was stiff and not opening, took it apart and it's just a normal looking valve. Got a new one to put in but was too slim so didnt screw into the threads. Put on the conversion piece, went to put it in again but this time it was too wide.
Anyone ever...
I am a newly registered gas engineer and I am getting a quote together for a job in an industrial unit. There is an old floor standing boiler, which runs 11 rads. It is roughly 21 meters to the furthest rad. The customer would like to fit a Worcester Bosch Combi boiler but I am unsure what size...
They are for the bath I have taken out, I need to get some longer connectors.
Why have they used 2 different size pips and what are the sizes of the flexi connectors, the bore looks different.
Thanks
Anyone know what this is and if it will fit into a female munsen ring back plate? Need to make the studding a couple of inches longer and clamps are at site and I am on way to merchants now.
Cheers chaps
Hi guya had a job yesterday that could't be completed. 2 lockshields needed changing, it's small pipe. I had 2 10mm lockshields on and these were too big. Can't seem to find smaller, anyone know where i might get some?
Afternoon each
A friend of mine recently bought a bungalow and increased most of the radiators from singles to doubles.
The existing pump, a WiloGold RS60, is very noisy and vibrating and needs replacing.
Yesterday it was suggested he replace the failing pump with a Grundfos UPS2 15-50/60...
Hi everyone,
I joined this forum for some professional advice. Can anyone tell me please how far the 22ml pipe should run from a flow master tank on a pressurised system. The person who installed has fitted only 12inches before reducing it - is this ok?
First-time poster and plumbing ignoramus, so please be kind....
I have a leaking toilet pan connector. The leak started when there was an old Multikwik connected.
I called a plumber and he tried a few different connectors and they all leaked. He said the spigot coming out of the toilet pan...
Does anybody know off the top of their head what size flexible oil hose is required for the above boiler?
Father in law informs me his is leaking (or at least thats where he thinks its coming from) so I'd like to pick the right one up to avoid two journeys if it is that at fault.
