No worries ...what method do you use to cement them in?....how do you prevent the cement from falling down the pipe and does the cement bond well to the smooth plastic...dont want any smells emanating from there if i chose this option.

I put a piece of 4" in and Just pack the gap with rope then cement

I would prefer a close coupled WC to remove the issues you get with access to concealed cisterns....it will be just finding a pan like you said that will accommodate a flexseal coupling and will aliow it to fit flush to the wall

B&Q also do a close-coupled back to the wall pan. I fitted one last week that a customer had bought, they seem OK. It's called Cooke & Lewis Fabian.
