How much is this course gonna cost? .....£5000? it is this much weigh it up is it really worth it

people wouldnt spend four years at tech if they could do it in 8 weeks :dizzy2:

That's why people like me (who can't afford to sit around for four years while learning) did a short course. If there was an intensive 6 month course with some real experience (i.e. going into houses supervised) I'd have much preferred to have done that, but 6-8 week courses are all there seem to be at present (except the few proper apprenticeships for whipper snappers.)

In pretty much all jobs, you're continually learning on the job. This applies to both managerial as well as practical hands on work; it's a combination of learning the theory and then putting it into practice.
The most important thing is to know your limitations and don't assume you know it all. Work within your limits and accept some jobs will take longer than it should, but you hill learn from it!
Everyone has different circumstances, so either route is good!

Hi ime thinking of doing a 8 week intensive plumbing course with ocli at the end ive got nvq level 2 also going to do tileing course and was wondering if anyone can advise if they think i will be able to go and work for myself after this and be capable ?? Cheers
