Hello all,
I have an baxi bermuda 50/3 back boiler, which works fine, with no problems appart from a slight banging when heating goes off late at night.
my questions are,as i qualify for the replacement boiler scheme, would it be benifical to replace with a new boiler or replace rads.
At present the rads are the single type ,some very long in, imagine around the 60/70 era.
so lads just to clarify:
replace boiler or change rads? it would be a stretch to do both,
Its a 3 bed terrace
thanks for your time :)

I assume you mean the boiler scrappage scheme, not Warmfront.

Provide the existing rads are in good condition and heat the house up OK there is no point changing them. Just get a new boiler. Make sure the installer flushes the system properly and puts in the necessary inhibitor.

You can always replace the rads as resources allow.

Yeh its the scrappage scheme.
shall get a few quotes for the boiler then.
thanks for the reply

Baxi have just launched a new back boiler (for the replacement market) that meets current building regulations (A rated) might be worth looking at.

Thanks for that Cds,shall look into it.
Will save all the hassle of re routing the gas supply into the airing cupboard which is where the new boiler would have to go.
