Hi guys,

iv been asked to quote for the installation of u6 meters and u10 meters in a commercial property. How much should i charge for the install of a u6 and the install of a u10? i havent a clue what to say. I have never done this kind of install before, i mostly do domestic appliances and central heating so its kind of new to me even though i am qualified to work on non domestic meters and pipework.

any advice or ball park figures from the experts in here would be very much appreciated.

Cheers lads,

Sean

Hi,

Welcome to the forums. We do not discuss prices on here and this thread is for introducing yourself only to the members. Any gas related questions should be posted in the relevant section.

Hi, whoops sorry wrong forum
i wanted to start a new post or sumthin but cudnt!
Do we not disuss prices on the forum at all or just on this particular thread? Cant i ask another member wat they wud charge fpr a certain job to see if im wide of the mark?

Hi Sean, we do not discuss prices at all on the main forum, although we can do this in the Plumbers Arms, which is open to members of 100 posts and over. There are several reasons that we do not discuss prices, but it's mainly to discourage price wars and spammers.

You are more than welcome to ask another member for help with pricing if you post in the gas section that you need help with this and would appreciate help if you could do this through personal mail. I'm sure one of the members will be only too happy to help you this way.
