This is a subject that riles plumber right up that is for sure!!!

People who come on this site are either DIYers or new plumbers, and therefore the advice we give them should adhere to both the manufacturers specifications and the building regs. If you have another way of doing something that works for you thats great, but I personally cannot recommend that to newbies who ask me for advice - the advice I give has to be by the book!

As we all know sometimes when you are on site, it is almost impossible to follow the 'book' to the letter . . . .
