i have one radiator that keeps getting air in it. can someone please tell me how to stop it.

have you a sealed or open vented system?
 
its oil and open fire. we only use the open fire now and again. there are 3 radiators that branch off from the pipe going down to the bedrooms. its the first one off the branch. the other 2 are ok. also for some reason we don,t always have hot water. do you think these problems are linked.
