You can get it in quick enough and it will clear an air lock in around 2 minutes but you can never get it back out unless you drain and refill a few times which isn't going to happen. There's no way, it would need flushing out, quick blast of mains pressure will do the trick or boiling it, or closing down rads. Far quicker than trying to get soapy water in the system and back out.

When we were doing this it was on badly piped up systems on cast iron boilers.
I wouldn't recommend doing it these days.
I saw an old boy use a large tin of beans on a big sectional cast iron boiler to stop a leak worked a treat would I do it now nooo
Strange things happened years ago. Pease brose (ask yer da) seals small leaks on water tanks too if you are stuck

It is a kind of flour made from peas mixed with oatmeal.
My granny used to make it
Not sure if you can still buy it. If you can it will probably be from some heath food specialty place with an up market price.
Bet you think about this next time though, hey? You know you will! Then think of all the hours wasted lol
just pull out the thermostat on the boiler and let it warm up for a bit then pop it in an let things settle, dont even need to climb a ladder 🙂 only for the brave and the customers gone out, can be a tadge noisy 🙂
Lol your trying to tell someone to use washing up liquid to clear an air lock and you haven't a clue why lol what a muppet
We recommend City Plumbing Supplies, BES, and Plumbing Superstore for all plumbing supplies.
