Hello fellow plumbers,

I qualified in both "Craft" & "Advanced Craft Plumbing" passing all 5 components as part of one of the last 4 year apprenticeships the City & Guilds were offering in 1987. I left the trade in 1988 and want to return. A few questions really:

1. Are my qualifications still valid?
2. Can i obtain a suitable "Gas safe" qualification using my C&G as a platform?
3. What is the equivelant new C&G or NVQ qualifications?

All help and advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Your Cty and Guilds are still valid but i dont think they are enough to get you onto the Gas Safe Reg as you need to have been in the trade for at least the last five years. You need to obtain you ACS.
