Bath replacement kit. Makes life easier

This is tool is great for replacing bath taps. Can be found on eBay. The clip on components don't really work well but the box spanners with the ratchet work great. You can also buy box spanners for mono bloc that connect to the ratchet separately. I think it's sold now in Tool Station.

reccomended to me by an experienced Gas engineer.

Looks pretty bulky, plus I'm guessing you have to cut pipes to get it all in ( the box spanner) I'd be surprised if there was room to swing that about! Plus I'm not a big today's tools fan after there other stuff iv had, not to mention there heat mat the same thickness as loo roll lol!!

You have to disconnect the supply pipes anyway so you can take of the back nuts from the existing bath tap. After disconnecting the supply pipes you can connect the box spanner ratchet which makes it easier to loosen and gives more torque than traditional box spanners. There is limited space under bath and this can work in limited space.

Yes but the supply pipes are normally rigid copper, not enough to get a ratchet & attachments in, maybe If flexis were used, but that's rare. Will wait & see what other guys experiences are of it...

I've had plenty. Worst ones I had to drill out as there was no way they were shifting.

Use these, never had any problems with getting taps off. Pricey but a great bit of kit:

+1 they wont do the stubborn old paint and putty ones but as we all know there a pita anyway

I have the set from tool station. Its ok pretty cheap and poorly made. The welds on the box spanners are just awful. The main problem though is that back nuts no longer seem to stick to a standard size so half the time neither of the 2 sizes fit. I have had to tape pennies inside the faces of the box spanners before to get them to grip the back nuts that were too small.

I have this kit and its all right I find on bath taps it can be a pain to use but I do a lot of school bathrooms and when fitting 10/15 sinks it makes life easier

Had mine for about 3 years now and been used about 6 times, well worth it when you get the basin taps fitted with red lead!

Not the best quality gear but does the job, would defo buy again if mine packed up.

Ive never had a problem using my crows foot, back nut spanner with bar or the C bar basin wrench to fit/remove taps

Although these kits look like they could be useful its not like I stuggle with the tools I've already got,
