I had problems with 2 baxi intecs I fitted and i have worked on a loads more they always seem to play up that's what put me off the 600 series they are very similar inside , I have still been fitting the duo - tec and platinum as my Landlord type boiler but you have to move with the times I guess and you dont know what they are like till you try one problems out the box are never a good start , on the plus side it's got a metal casing time will tell Scott . Cheers kop

No mate you get a add on plastic spaced clip bar but I didn't use it this time as had a vertical flue so no worries failing the flue with the pipework

On a Friday aswell
I assumed pipes in talon clips would be too big for the void behind the boiler.
Have you fit the in flue weather comp on any?

I dont fit baxi anymore after speaking to one of their engineer who said off the record they are crap. The other reason i got fed up with the pin on the diverters leaking through. One of them caused a major problem with the electric garage door.
I cant disagree mate I have had diverter issues but on the whole all within warranty and minor inconvenience to me getting the system clean a decent mag filter and good quality inhibitor is the best defence I find. Kop

No mate I fit a Honeywell T4 or T4r to get boiler plus , I find weather comp causes nuisance call backs for me as customers cant get it in their heads that the rads may not always be as hot when the heating is in heating mode.

It wasnt a minor issue with the garage door, it was an electric one the diverter leaked blew the fuse then tripped the main board which was in the garage which coincidently was shut when it happened.

They had to drill a hole in the door to get in ,all this whilst their mum was staying in the house who was on super ill .

They wanted compensation as i talked them into a baxi lol.

Not your fault mate I guess the boiler could of had its own dedicated circuit with a sole circuit breaker but it's easy to say that after the problem has happened, will see how these perform over time. All the best Kop

kop may i ask why the filter went below and not above even if it meant dropping the boiler an extra inch?
