being thick and to many malts, thinking 240 for fan , if you get 240 at gavalve, pcb is **** hence the fault finding guide. apologies, must stop the single malts

the other 2nd hand item to wang in now is you pcb if you got one or test all the terminals shown in the earlier post, i botch it and bung the pcb in at this stage, its easier!
i did the pcb first it's a strange one

Voltage at modulating coil of gas valve is:
Max. burner press.approx 9V DC (13V DC LPG)
Min. burner press.approx 1V DC
Current at modulating coil of gas valve is:
(Use an instrument with average function for this
measure)
30
÷ 230 mA DC (45 ÷ 310 mA DC LPG)

PCB - A1 connector has 230V AC
across terminals 2 & 4

voltage on pcb 2 and 4 is 240v but at gas valve is dc as the lead has a ac dc converter in it .

please not the above is for the 80e the last post was for the 80eco the eco being the older boiler with only 3 leds the 80e the newer boiler with the red temp lights which boiler do you have.

anyone else come accross the magic baxi gas valve lead with ac dc convertor. was told when having problems with a 105 e few months ago never got to the bottom of it gas valve only on min burner even though 13vdc on modulating wires changed gas valve still same

had some of these and 325v dc i think ?baxi 144 ? lots of numbers in head :)

you say its firing, not modulating are tcts proven, worth checking again, short on wirng harness, worth a continuity check all round, pig of a fault, had the same 4 years ago on a 105e, it was rather knackered anyhow so pursuaded custard to replace after going thro your problems!

it did fire but played up again, red light on flame failure, goes to ignition trys too light for about 10 sec does what it does trys again then goes to flame failure....my moneys on a short on modulating wires,,will check tomorrow

this is the baxi 80e the one you want sorry got eco and e saved as same on mauals

the one i worked on had the full modulation voltage to the gas valve so should have been fully open to full burner pressure - i could adjust the min setting to give max burner but the max screw seemed to do nothing.
