i serviced this boiler today and i done a gas rate, it came back on full rate at 2.25m3/hour ,- 21.69kw nett. looking at the mi the boiler should be running at 3.39m3/hour - 32.69kw nett . the thing is when i looked at the benchmark the figures the installer put in mirrored mine 2.25m3/hour - 21.69kw, any ideas

I'll be interested to see what this problem is, I had a vaillant last week with the same problem. Turned out to only be getting 9mb on full rate which cocked up FGA readings aswell.

would have a word with baxi tech its undergassing for some reason, gas valve fault, wrong jet/jet/burner restricted,i take it you have checked/ruled out fga readings under 0.004

fga results on max were ok but when on min they were a bit out and had to be adjusted,i;ll give baxi a ring and let you no how it goes

but that dont make it right,it dont make it dangerous either installer should have kicked it in when it was in warranty, did you do a full strip down service or fga readings only?

just fga ,i did not how ever complete service as i said i was not happy with readings and i would be back to complete.

be interesting what state its in when you strip it down, dont forget combustion gasket should be ok but advise custard a new one may be needed or just fit a new one anyway and bill accordingly

You could have a problem with the meter reg maybe? I suppose you could run it on full rate with the manometer connected to the inlet to see if the pressure fluctuates while in use.

Its a strange one this

good call had that before, just thinking out loud restriction in gas pipe connection from gasvalve to burner possibly?worth checking anyway

might be a silly answer but isnt it just that the boiler might have regulated down the burner while you test it for an minute or 2, depending on meter ?

should get full gasrate when flat out to dhw, meter should not have a bearing
