Just been to quote for a rental property which has 2 bathrooms.
A previous plumber has been in and quoted two days. Unbelievable, 2 days to strip out the old bathrooms and plumb in 2 new ones.
How? apparently, he's working alone.
Here's my quote, on having a look around, the floor has blown in one bathroom, system boiler with NO iso valves, not even ones that don't work. Apparently, it was supposed to be a combi!
I have to supply the taps because the customer wanted to use the old ones and I can't see the point, I explained that cheap new taps will enhance the property for rental.
Bathrooms (bath, wc, basin) will be delivered tomorrow. Here goes I've quoted 4 days, a day to strip out and place valves on the cwst, start placing iso valves where required, 1.5 day each bathroom.
My argument is although its a rental property, surely, they still want a proper job, the risks of leaks are the same.
The other quote for 2 days, well, he was in the property 10 minutes and is under the impression its a combi and didn't look under the bath.
The advantage is the property is unoccupied, so, you can start and finish when you like but 2 days.....
I don't think I'm way off of the mark but I do wonder.....
So, am I way off the mark, 4 days, I supply the taps (cheap, cheap) between £800-900 gives me a little lea way.
