Discuss Bedfordshire site plumbing in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at Plumbers Forums

I’m trying to get into this plumbing game the domestic side of things, would working on site as a plumbers mate be benificial as I have been offered a job working on a new hospital site?

Not sure but it’s delivering water to appliances and fittings through pipework in a safe manner whilst discharging waste and grey water safely through more pipe work into a sewage system I’m guessing.
I got experience doing all this in a warehouse in a training establishment and in my own home but can’t seem to get any experience domestically so going from a plant fitters role to any sort of plumbing role would be a step in the right direction.
I guesse what I am asking is would I get much experience as a plumbers mate or will I be cutting threads and bending low carbon steel all day long?

You will have to start doing those jobs until you can prove you are capable of other tasks
But yes it’s a step in the right direction
