I've used a cheap digi gauge for yonks, as said it saves messing around with water & topping up a U gauge - which is a right PITA!! Never had it calibrated, never tested it & I use it for everything. I've never taken the side of a house out & my boilers are always A1 on the FGA, after using it to commission them.

It's an Alpha Electronics Master, but I don't think they're available any more mate?
Its been a great buy & I've used it for years.
I also use the Kane 425 FGA.

the only problem you have is the day it fails you could be the day you have no defence when the hse come knocking. I would atleast get it calibrated.
