The full 455 kit is out there for around for £600. So considering you will save approx £160 over 4 years servicing/calibrating the 455 (through kane) over the 425, in my view the better quality 455 is worth the bit extra outlay. Just my opinion though. Both great bits of kit.

Got my kane 455 cpa1 kit last week, still getting to grips with it but very happy with all it can do, and seems very easy to use compared to the anton v2 i did my cpa1 traing with last year. Came without the temp probes but kane sent them to me 2 days later so carnt complain.

ive got anton v2 which i love, have used kane 455 and seems just as good imo. payed 720.00 for kit3 from city plumbing! they wanted alot more from plumb center. antons great just ashame about the calibration and part costs!

I'll be getting the Kane 455 I'm getting 20% off and 5 years warranty with it and if i get them to service it direct its £84 so seems fair to me, met one of their reps at a vaillant course the other day gave us a good deal so pretty much getting it VAT free

I have bought a second hand Testo 330 but not sure if i should get it calibrated. How often do they need doing anyway?

Every instrument is 12 months . As per manifactures instructions at a test house . Or back to testo . If you use it All day like I do they collect it via courier I then chase them they push me up the que you can talk to the lab direct testo great service . I used to use test equipment on aircraft 1 st class . You must get it calibrated b 4 use . A friend bought 1 eBay in sep I tried it on a boiler I just serviced oil it was faulty .

As said above, every 12 months. You could nearly bet your bottom dollar that if you bought it second hand, if it was within its calibration period this would have been mentioned to up the price a little. Rather similar to buying a 2nd hand car. If recently serviced and long MoT you'll be told!

Kane 455 picked it up straight away....used the sprint aswell but did get confused a bit with that one. If i had to buy one it would be the Kane 455.

I have purchased the Kane 455 cpa1 kit and it is great. It does everything I need it to do. I used the sprint when doing my Gas assessments and didn't like it.

Got a sprint V1 which I love, calibration is a bit more expensive, but can't fault Anton on service, one of the cells failed a month early last year, they replaced the cell and recalibrated it for the cost of the calibration (free cell cos 1 month early), this year sent the printer back cos wasn't feeding properly, and they stuck a new printer in FOC. Sweet!
