boiler only works when internal timer is removed & connected to nest

Hi all,

I have an ideal C24 boiler which is connected to a nest thermostat. The hot water works however the central heating does not work. I discovered when I removed the inbuilt timer connection to electronic board and turned heating on using nest the central heating works. Is this a faulty inbuilt timer or could it be something else. I am afraid of keeping it disconnected incase it deactivates any fail safes.

Have you tried to leave the built in clock on constant?

You have to take the front off to disconnect timer. GSR????

Yes I have also done that. Boiler does not even try to fire up.

Closed needs a gas safe engy to wire it up properly
