Thank you. The boiler is not rising consistantly. Sometimes it is fine when the hot water is on. Other times it will shoot up to 4 bar just after the hot water is on. The heating is not on whatsoever, would the hot water being in demand cause the pressure to rise normally?
 
If the pressure isnt rising consistently, and the prv doesn't blow when the gauge reads high, I wonder if the pressure gauge is faulty? Maybe attach a secondary pressure gauge on an easily accessible part of the system so you can compare to the one at the boiler.
