Boiler (ProCombi 24) fails to heat HOT WATER only LUKEWARM WATER comes out of taps.

Combi-boiler [ProCombi Exclusive 24] according to manual and digital screen display is working correctly, and should be heating hot water.

The temperature on the boiler is turned up to hot but only lukewarm water is coming out of the taps.

Running water starts off hot for about 10 seconds then goes lukewarm.

Practical help and virtual suggestions are welcome.

hi, have you tried reducing the flow from the tap? does it then get hot ?

You need to get a Gas Safe engineer in to take a look by the sounds of it.

As said above, if this has just started happening call in a plumber who is gas safe

Hello, thanks for your reply. When reducing the flow of the water it still only comes out lukewarm. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

That is a typical symptom of sludge build up in the secondary heat exchanger, especially if the boiler is cycling down and up at the same time, only cure is new secondary heat exchanger.
