Central heating pump brands

Hi guys

I know Grundfos are generally deemed the daddy, but are all the other makes worth ignoring. Purely as an example, there are some Wilo and Pegler ones in the Screwfix catalogue. Is the drop in price a definite drop in performance and reliability?

Any suggestions welcome.

wilo and pegler alrightish the wilo can be prone to the electrics failing into the water ways,and another make circulating pumps formally myson now total junk

we have wilo factory fitted in our air source heat pumps and havent had a problem yet.

steer clear of the Flowson ones that screwfix sell, cheap and crap.

Good old saying you get what you pay for - some larger wilo ones are spot on but for domestic circulators pay the money and buy the best

have you seen the salus pumps they look identical to grundfos apart from colour and there quite a bit cheaper.

Pump life is more to do with the amount of crud floating round a system than anything else. My merchants do a lot of DAB pumps. Ive fitted a few and these seem OK.
