Hi
Came across this forum when I tried researching some heating probs I'm having - right time of year for it I suppose!

My boiler keeps cutting out. No heat in rads, but pipes coming out of boiler are hot. I have had a problem with low pressure in the central heating and have had to keep topping up the system. I know there's a leak somehwere (Think it's just at the boiler, I hope), which a plumber is coming to fix soon. Is there any way I can get the house warm in the meantime? Tried bleeding rads to ensure there's no airlocks.

Help!

Electric fire? I keep some cheap fan heaters for emergencies. (No gas).

might well be the pump - boiler comes on heats up and shuts down cause hot water not getting away - you dont say what sort of system.

It was the pump. Sorted, plus two new isolation valves and some kind of sealant to try and solve the leaking problem.
£100.
As warm as toast now with an ice cold beer!!!
