So possibly somethings one could advise to maybe turn it of in the summer months?
I think that is exactly what it is designed for. During the winter months generally the heating is on or has been recently when you require hot water. However late spring/summer etc it could not fire CH for weeks.
If the client wants that feature I always recommend a stat that can time it or we fit Atag as standard and they have a internal DHW Comfort timer that can be used for a few different times lots each day.
 
The note section suggests it can be set via the stat?
