Hi chaps and Happy Christmas!

Just wanted to know, does anyone on here do commercial gas? How much more difficult is it than domestic?

Is it compulsory then?

I tried when I first registered here over 5 years ago, but heard nothing back.

no your choice if you want to but thats strange maybe you didnt grease the right palms :D

I`m not yet registered. But it`s going to happen. But I`ve been thinking ahead, thinking what options are available, then I thought how hard is commercial... Didn`t mean to ruffle feathers u understand, just thinking out possible options. Tbh I really know nothing compared to you guys on here, but that`s why Im here.

Come on STEVE.
Your looking like a trol at the moment.
Please tell us you background. How old you are, if your working in the gas field, if you have any other plumbing experience. Have you done any other courses etc.

If you don't then I for one will be giving no help or reply to your posts.

Hi, I`m not registered yet, no. I do have plumbing experience (trained quite a few years ago). Yes Ive done the acs gas and now have ccn1, but i want to do more options. To continue a theme, the more, the merrier!

I really need a job doing gas (to really get to grips with it), which I don`t currently have. What i want to do is install and repair boilers.

Problem is mate if you've done a fast track course very very few companies will touch you so your option is to go self employed

yeah ive done a fast track for gas but i did almost pass the course some years ago. Passed all the papers and almost all the practical assessment, so no apologies for taking the quick route. It should have happened years ago!

That's fine mate and you've passed however my point still remains that a lot of companies won't touch you if you do a fast track course they want experience which unfortunately these courses don't give you. All I am saying is that self-employed might be the more likely option
